The last date to apply online for SCR Act Apprentice 2026 is 11 April 2026 at 11:59 PM (23:59 hrs). Applications must be submitted at scr.indianrailways.gov.in. No offline applications are accepted.
Q2. Is there a written exam for SCR Apprentice 2026?
No. There is no written test or viva-voce for SCR Act Apprentice 2026. Selection is entirely merit-based, calculated as the average of Class 10 marks and ITI marks, with equal 50% weightage to each.
Q3. What is the application fee for SCR Apprentice 2026?
The fee is ₹100 for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, Female, and Transgender candidates from all communities pay no fee. Payment is made online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, or SBI UPI.
Q4. Can diploma holders or engineering graduates apply for SCR Act Apprentice 2026?
No. Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible to apply. This notification is exclusively for candidates with a Class 10 pass (50% aggregate) and an ITI certificate in the relevant trade. Diploma/engineering holders are covered under a separate apprenticeship scheme.
