Educational Qualification for MCL:
Asst. Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee), T&S Gr-C (E&M)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 3 years course) approved by AICTE, OR Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering approved by AICTE.
Technician (Electrician) (Trainee), Cat-III (E&M)
- Matriculate or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board of examination.
- ITI (2 year course) in Electrician Trade along with Trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT and minimum 1 year training / on the job practical experience.
- LT permit under IE Rules for Mines or 440–550 Volts mining parts permit issued by Competent Authority.
Age Limit (As on 28/May/2026)
- Minimum: 18 Years
- Maximum: 30 Years (for General/UR & EWS category candidates)
Relaxation of Upper age limit:

Pay Scale
- Asst. Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee), T&S Gr-C (E&M) – ₹47,330.25 Per Month (Basic Pay as per NCWA-XI)
- Technician (Electrician) (Trainee), Cat-III (E&M) – ₹1,583.32 Per Day (Basic Pay as per NCWA-XI)
Besides basic pay, the posts carry other allowances and fringe benefits as per Company’s Rules/National Coal Wage Agreement-XI.
Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) — comprising 100 objective type questions (Section A: 20 questions on General Awareness/Aptitude; Section B: 80 questions on Technical Knowledge); no negative marking for wrong answers
- Shortlisted candidates called for Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3 based on CBT merit order
- Initial Medical Examination (IME) at the designated Hospital by the Company’s Doctor
- Final appointment/joining subject to being declared medically fit for employment in Mines
