Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the notification for the BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026.
This recruitment drive will be conducted to fill 100 vacancies of Junior Telecom Officer (Direct Recruitment – Telecom) from the open market across 21 BSNL Circles at Engineering Degree level.
The BSNL online registration has started on 04 June 2026, and eligible candidates can apply until 03 July 2026 (10:00 Hrs). BSNL JTO 2026 Educational Qualification:
Junior Telecom Officer – Telecom (JTO(T)-DR)
- Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent from a Central/State Govt. recognized Institution/University in any of the following disciplines: Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology (IT), or Instrumentation. OR M.Sc. (Electronics) / M.Sc. (Computer Science). Candidates with M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible. The candidate must be an Indian National and must have completed the course by the closing date of application.
BSNL JTO 2026 Selection Process:
The selection on the basis of following steps:-
- Computer Based Multiple Choice Objective Type Test (CBT) – 3 hours duration, 480 marks (120 questions) covering Engineering Stream Section-I (200 marks), Engineering Stream Section-II (200 marks), and General Ability Test Section-III (80 marks). Negative marking applies (+4 for correct, -1 for wrong).
- Document Verification – Shortlisted candidates from the merit list will be called for document verification.
- Medical Examination – Final appointment subject to passing BSNL’s Medical Examination.
BSNL JTO 2026 Application Fee:
- ₹2,000/- for UR / OBC / EWS candidates.
- ₹1,000/- for SC / ST / PwBD candidates.
- Payment Mode: Online only – Internet Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card through the BSNL exam portal (www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in). Fee once paid is non-refundable.
How to Apply BSNL JTO Recruitment 2026:
Eligible & Interested candidates must apply online only through the official BSNL exam website (www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in).
➢ Step 1: Visit www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in and click on the BSNL JTO (DR) 2026 online registration link.
➢ Step 2: Register using your valid mobile number and e-mail ID (OTP will be sent for verification).
➢ Step 3: Fill the online application form carefully, entering personal, educational, and category details. Select Circle preferences (up to 21 Circles) in order of preference.
➢ Step 4: Upload scanned copies of passport-size photograph, signature, Date of Birth certificate, Degree certificate, mark sheets, and category/caste/PwBD certificates as applicable.
➢ Step 5: Pay the application fee online and take a printout of the computer-generated registration form for future reference.
➢ Step 6: After the registration window closes, an editing window of 7 days will open (04 July – 11 July 2026, 10:00 Hrs). Use this window to correct any errors in selective fields if required.
Note: In case of multiple registrations, only the latest application/registration number will be considered as final; older applications will be rejected.
