Qualification
Project Assistant
- Bachelor’s degree in Science (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics) from a recognized University or equivalent OR 3 Years Diploma in Engineering and Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: 2 Years PG Diploma in Management; knowledge of machine learning techniques, predictive regression models, statistical analysis; 8–10 years experience in Data Science / Statistical Data Analysis in Private/Govt. sector.
Technical Assistant
- 3 Years Diploma in Engineering and Technology (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Mechanical) from a recognized University or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Science (Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Computers) from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: B.Tech / Master’s Degree in above subjects; experience with weather-related instruments; programming skills in Python / MatLab / LabVIEW.
Scientific Administrative Assistant
- Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: Experience in laboratory/instrument-related work, laboratory maintenance, basic computer operation/data entry, preparation of documents, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
Salary Details
- Project Assistant: ₹20,000 + HRA per month
- Technical Assistant: ₹20,000 + HRA per month
- Scientific Administrative Assistant: ₹18,000 + HRA per month
Age Limit
- Project Assistant: Maximum 50 Years
- Technical Assistant: Maximum 50 Years
- Scientific Administrative Assistant: Maximum 50 Years
Age relaxation applicable for SC, ST, OBC & Physically Handicapped as per GOI orders, and for Ex-Servicemen as per rules. The date of interview is the cut-off date for age calculation.

Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Written Examination (held on the same day as Walk-in Interview)
- Skill Test (conducted after declaration of written exam results on the same day)
- Document / Certificate Verification
- Medical Fitness Examination (before joining)

Eligible candidates may download the prescribed application form (proforma) at www.tropmet.res.in. Fill the application form as per the guidelines given in the official notification, enclose all required original documents along with photocopies, and appear for the Walk-in Interview at the designated venue on the scheduled date between 09:00 and 10:00 Hrs.
Candidates who report after 10:00 Hrs will not be permitted to appear for the Walk-in Interview.
