Qualification
Specialist Medical Officer (SMO):
- MBBS degree with post graduate degree/diploma from any NMC recognized institution
- Specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics / Surgeon / Ophthalmology / Pathology / General Medicine / Orthopedics / Psychiatry / Dermatology / Radiology / Anesthesia / ENT / Pediatrics
- Valid registration with Medical Council
Salary Details
- Specialist Medical Officer (SMO): Bid-based monthly remuneration. Maximum bid amount not more than ₹3,00,000 per month. The lowest bidder shall be offered the quoted facility. Performance allowance will be given after one year of service.
Age Limit
- Specialist Medical Officer (SMO): Minimum 21 Years – Maximum 69 Years as on 01st March, 2025. Age relaxation as per Govt. rules; preference given to Physically Handicapped and Reserved Category candidates on the basis of L1 rate negotiation.

Selection Process
- Bid Submission – Eligible candidates fill out the prescribed Google Form with requisite personnel, education, marks sheets, registration, and experience details; bid for up to 3 facilities with a quoted monthly remuneration (max ₹3,00,000/month)
- Facility-wise Shortlisting – L1 (lowest bidder) is offered the facility. In case of similar quoted rates, preference based on: (a) Degree over Diploma, (b) Years of experience, (c) Date of birth, (d) Other criteria as per Dept. of Personnel & Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha
- L1 Rate Negotiation – Preferences given to Physically Handicapped and Reserved Category candidates
- Agreement Execution – Initially for three years, co-terminus with financial year ending; renewable till posting of regular Specialist Medical Officer on mutual consent
